Great to meet you!

I'm a nonprofit director turned UX designer.

As a summer camp Program Director, I developed and implemented year-round engagement and summer camp programming for 500+ campers based on critical evaluation of camper, family, and staff needs. I built meaningful relationships, spearheaded creative projects (check out one here), and even ran a summer of “Zoom camp” during quarantine.

I’m a critical thinker and team player. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been designing on the side -- making eye-catching flyers for coworkers, playing wedding planner and florist for family members, and taking marketing photos for friends. When I was ready for my next challenge, I learned that UX involves all of the skills that I enjoy most: empathizing, story-telling, and creating.

As a UX designer, I'm continuing to foster meaningful relationships to build meaningful experiences.

More about me, from others:

We’ve loved working with Annie! Annie was very professional, communicative, and thoughtful. She was open to our feedback and offered some unique, insightful ideas that we’re excited to explore further with her help! We are very pleased with the deliverable she and her team produced for us in mere weeks as volunteers. We feel fortunate to have worked with Annie and are looking forward to continuing to do so.

Annie is a humble leader and fantastic UX practitioner who I would trust with any project from A to Z -- from conducting and synthesizing user and market research to delivering high fidelity prototypes and mockups. Annie's pleasant personality inspires users to open up to her with rich data during user interviews, allowing her to sincerely empathize with any product's users throughout the entire (re)design process, therefore coming up with truly delightful design solutions. She works well solo as well as in design teams. I would hire her for any UX work in a heartbeat!!

Working with Annie was an absolute joy! She came to work each day motivated and ready to work. Through my two years supervising Annie, she demonstrated a strong work ethic, ability to develop and sustain meaningful relationships with our key constituents, and a creative passion for her work. She led new initiatives focusing on recruitment, engagement, and employee hiring and onboarding always with a smile on her face.

Annie’s role within our organization focused on programming and understanding our clientele (campers and their families). She familiarized herself with the communities we serve and worked to understand our institution in order to create an excellent experience for our campers. As her role evolved and developed over time, she continued to focus on the arc of experience that ensured our campers remained excited and engaged throughout their many summers at camp. Annie’s work set the stage for future growth and expansion of our programming and the overall camper experience.
